Was out near light house this aft between tip and gravel bay... I trolled anywhere from 2 to 3 mph and everything in between and I could not go more then 5 minutes without either a sheep head or silver bass... I tried everything to avoid the constant reeling... I did manage 2 nice pics but after...
I have a 1997 Honda 8hp kicker on an 18 foot aluminum fishing boat....my question is how do you all support your kickers when underway? It has no power tilt etc just a lock when u tilt it up etc? I’m concerned about the brutal Erie chop and the pounding it dishes out, does anyone use some sort...

Managed to get out between light house and gravely bay tonight ... east wind proved bumpy with some real rollers... only stayed 1.5 hrs and got 4 keepers in the box with. A few more lost in the waves. 5 colour lead, dipsy out 120 on 3 and rigger down 30 feet.... all caught in the 45-65 feet range
Heading out Saturday hoping for perch... never been able to get out this early in the season... any xchance I can get some suggestions on depth this time of year... I know the usual spots but I'm kind of at a loss as to what depth to start at?
