Was thinking about coming to Lake Erie this weekend or early next week and was wondering where are the walleye?

Would Port Burwell be a good bet this time of year?

Burwell/ Port Bruce Starts to heat up late June to beginning of July. But this year...maybe later because of the
cold spring

No ice last winter so water may warm up sooner just a thought?

If you want numbers definetly head west. The further you go the better this time of year. Niagara area is also productive but there are fish everywhere. Just expect to work alot harder for them in the central basin right now.

Hopefully they will move in to Port Burwell sooner than later. Don,t want to drive further than that if possible.

There are resident fish there all year. The large schools of fish that spawn in the west end will slowly begin to show up in a few weeks.

Colchester was good yesterday. Got a late start but managed 2 man limit of 18-24" fish between 10am-2pm. 24-26 fow off Holiday beach. Lots of small ones there too but we put them back for next year. Harnesses on bouncers and 2oz in-lines both produced.
