Off Topic Tundra Swans

Have been seeing many large flights of Swans flying into the bay area here this evening. I would guess there is a large concentration by Big Creek this evening.

Saw some flying north over Peacock Point last weekend.They seem to be about two weeks early this year.

We have hundreds on the Ausable in Port Franks

I noticed the tundra swans around the causeway by Big Creek,back on February 11/20 when I was in the Port Rowan area that day.I am wondering if some of them wintered over,because of our mild winter this year,instead of flying south?

There were a few hundred tundra swans on a pond near my house in the Brantford area yesterday. They stayed for the day and left in the evening probably to advance their migration. Robins showed up overnight. I had not seen or heard any this spring until this morning and it wasn't just one. There were at least 6. The blackbirds have been here for about a week. Also, larger than normal numbers of geese and ducks. The migration is underway.

Forgot to mention there are only 2 swans on the pond this morning, but they were Trumpeters.

haven't seen any robins/blackbirds around my area in Brantford, but I suspect with the warm temps forecast for Sunday they'll show for sure. seems to be a "tradition" ???

Sandhill Cranes showed up today in the Brantford area.

Myself & @Jumbojim plus his neighbours saw a couple Sandhill Cranes flying overhead while I was visiting in Booths Harbour today. They are very cool to watch,as they fly by!! ??
