The ice is taking a beating

The harbour was frozen solid just 2 days ago but with all the wind, warm temps and rain the ice in Port Glasgow is showing rapid deterioration. Elsewhere would be also I would think so I would be very skeptical about venturing out anywhere right now. Stay safe people no fish is worth your life.

WOW!! @Wave Runner just in a matter of hour’s the lake ice has disappeared?? So @Wave Runner ice fishing on the lake near the boat channel for maybe the odd “mythical creature” (Erie Gold), is out of the question now for the @Red Hering because of the deterioration of the ice?? Here’s hoping that the long point bay ice will stay around still a bit longer,even after this rain & warm temperatures we are having at the moment. The ice was 10 to 12 inches thick there last Tuesday,February 15/22,when I was ice fishing there.Even my bald eagle toque that I wore later in the afternoon caught a perch!! lol

Thanks @Huron and that’s a for sure!! To stay by my fireplace at home. lol I am being optimistic though,that the cold weather will return again soon,because I picked up a cord of firewood for our home in the Port Rowan area last Tuesday,February 15/22,before I went out ice fishing off @Collins Harbour. Bring back the ice fishing season again & quickly please!! lol For it was a great day of ice fishing for me back on February 15/22,on long point bay,and I don’t want the ice fishing season to end yet!!

My neighbour and I decided today what the first lures to hit the water on day one will be including which rods they will go on.

No brainer really.
