Anyone been out on the Thames for walleye lately? I
Hoping to head out later this week. Just wondering about water level, I assume walleye should be around somewhere by now. I have tried for years but am 0 for lifetime on the river for them maybe this will be my year!! Lol

@TMAN I haven’t been out walleye fishing since back in January,2021,and I managed after 5 walleye fishing trip’s that month,to only catch one walleye, which I released. It was a female walleye,(loaded with eggs),6275DE76-C225-44BA-9867-90727E9A7210.jpeg 01D6A4AC-B84A-46FB-8784-5428F226336F.jpegback into the Thames River. 69C93DC9-2218-479B-906D-9DD7857E6CA7.jpeg CBADE0B5-A9EF-47F9-A623-C95E3BA4886F.jpeg February was much colder & most of the shoreline was frozen over, which would of made shoreline walleye fishing much harder, therefore, I didn’t walleye fished in February. But ice fishing on long point bay instead. I am looking forward to some more thames river walleye fishing in this month of March. You were also asking as well about the water level in the thames river, and here are a couple of recent photo’s of the Thames River from Monday,March 1/21 0647B0C6-746E-4DE4-ACB7-7EE6430B5F37.jpeg and the other photo from yesterday,March 2/21.D5EAE0B2-351D-4565-B83C-10D3D525E4D4.jpeg As you can see,the thames river is a bit higher in the second photo, but it is starting to drop back down. All the best to you walleye fishing @TMAN later this week, and hopefully this will be your first year to catch a thames river walleye!! The thames river is a huge river, with plenty of walleye fishing spot’s to fish.4615E34D-6026-4362-82D5-A49991771008.jpeg 2F8DC91D-783D-4BC5-8DA4-F86862241582.jpeg Tight lines & Walleye’s ON!! 7FFF3B9F-AF0A-4230-B56C-80E6613873BD.jpeg 🎣🐟😉👍😎

Bit more flow to the river tonight. Got out for a few hrs after work and found this guy. Back tomorrow for his friends!
Thanks for the report @Walter Fishonn on the walleye fishing & congratulations!! 👍 I was busy spending money @ANGLING OUTFITTERS today, and I had a look at the Thames River afterwards to see how it looked for some walleye fishing soon.A photo CF1F92B4-7F81-47F2-9D71-FF81C9522A24.jpeg of one of the sections of the Thames River from this afternoon & walleye’s ON!! 🎣🐟👍🙂

I fished the Thames on Wednesday with only 2 suckers to show for it. Seems the walleye just aren't there yet or maybe I'm doing something wrong lol. Fished for 5hrs starting at 9am with no luck, water levels were good IMO

That spot @bassaholic in your photo’s usually produces walleye’s this time of year.I agree with you though about the walleye’s not being there yet.The temperature of the river is still quite cold for the walleye migration & some rain would help to raise the water temperature up to their liking. Tight lines & hopefully walleye’s ON!! to All!! 🎣🐟👍🙂

Same here for me. Was out all day and just suckers. Started in delaware and then moved out to a buddy's spot on the reserve and then back to delaware. At least there is still time for the normal numbers to arrive. I have been noticing a lot more carp and suckers this year and also have caught some large cats. I assume the shad die off has to do with it.

Fished 5 hours yesterday on the Thames. Three Suckers to show for the effort. Water was good weather was good. Fishing sucked. Had 4 Eagles flying over us for most the morning. That was worth going in its self. Threw the 1 sucker on the bank and walked back to my spot. Before the sucker flopped back in the water the Eagle was having him for lunch. Pretty awesome sight to see.

Thanks Red, I gave it a go on the wednesday and no luck on walleye but at least I landed a sucker and a carp! So no skunk that time. I'm hoping to give it another go..... running out of time but that also means closer to boating season too..

Your welcome & good luck @TMAN to the rest of the way in this short walleye season. I caught a carp yesterday & a friend of mine who I invited to come along with me,to one of my “honey hole’s,” caught a walleye, and it was the only walleye hit between the 2 of us,after around 3 hour’s of walleye fishing. Tight lines and walleye’s ON!! 🎣🐟👍😎
