lol @Fishboss I have been great, and keeping busy!! Hoping that all is well with you and your family. I have been in hiding, because Retirement is more work for me,than having a full time job!! It wasn’t suppose to be like that!! I already have been dragging lines for walleye’s through the thames river,in this young year of 2023. I have done 4 thames river walleye fishing trip’s this January so far. Two walleye’s were caught on two of those day’s,out of four fishing trip’s,averaging up to 3 hour’s a day of walleye fishing. It is great to see the Thames River wide open for a change, compared to previous year’s,when it is usually frozen shut to cast a line from the riverbank. With around 2 month’s left to the walleye season in Zone 16,this side of the Keil Bridge in Chatham,I am hoping to be walleye fishing a lot,( screw the “honey do” list!! ),on that stretch of the Thames River, all the way up to London & area. But,at the same time,I am hoping ,that perhaps there might still be an ice fishing season on Long Point Bay in February,2023,( photo’s from 2022). , but if there isn’t a ice fishing season this year, I don’t mind doing long hike’s,along the Thames River,to try and catch some more thames river walleye’s,before the walleye season closes on March 15,2023. All the Best @Fishboss and catching you a limit of 4 thames river walleye’s,shouldn’t be a problem, compared to trying to get my limit of 6 walleye’s out on Lake Erie during the boating/fishing season!! . Please as always, keep in touch. Regards, uncle red.Well well well, that's one way to get uncle red out of hibernation the secret word is "Thames".
How are you @Red Hering long time no see, I'm sure the next while you'll be dragging Lines thru the Thames, good luck hope you catch me a limit of walleye
Great to read @Fishboss that you have finally settled in up on the Grey Bruce Counties, and you been busy with your new job, involving working with ’s. If by chance that I can’t get my 4 limit of walleye’s for you on the thames river,( lol ),I will have Lake Erie as a backup this summer fishing for walleye’s there, and a limit of 6 walleye’s is “easy pickings” from out of my boat then. I just received my Winter 2023 Bluewater Anglers Club,( which I am a member of), Newsletter. For the spring,I am also looking forward to do some trolling, but it will be out on Lake Huron, during the Bluewater Anglers 47th Annual Salmon Derby, which runs from,April 28 till May 7,2023. Tight lines to you @Fishboss out on Georgian Bay,or were ever you might be wetting a line.Lets keep in touch Regards, uncle redWe are doing good uncle red, finally feels like home up in Grey Bruce, just been busy with the , I'm definitely looking forward to you catching me a limit of walleye , as for ice season it might not happen so come on spring, and start trolling Georgian Bay for salmon.
Thanks so much Red!@TMAN as @GPS had mentioned above, the Thames River is wide open. A photo of a recent January,2023 thames river walleye that I had caught. It was my first walleye of 2023,and hopefully there will be more thames river walleye’s to be caught, this side of the Keil Bridge in Chatham, where I like to walleye fish, till the walleye season closes,in Zone 16,on March 15,2023. Tight lines & Thames River Walleye’s ON!! to All!!
Thanks so much Red! You’re welcome @TMAN and any time. The Thames River is not looking too bad, while I was taking a hike by Fanshawe Lake this morning. I can’t wait to walleye fish west of Delaware one day soon.
