Wow @Fish Farmer, looking down that wafer thin ice hole I must admit made me a little squeemish!

Went over today also to check conditions! Walked out bout 100 yards & it's definitely freezing up nice! Good dark ice with sum small perch swimming around! Just need another 4-5 days of these cold nights & it will be game on!

We never saw a fish, was a bit shallow 4'. We didn't want to go any farther out, 2 hits with the spud went through the ice
I wouldn't advise anyone to go out there, was a little scary. We only fished hour and half, was so darn windy.

An after the rain and wind ice report. It opened up outside the Island and in the channel for a mile or so past EC10. Other than that looks like the ice stayed in place. Was gusting 100k ,8C and the power went out at 1AM. here and just freezing now. There looks like ice over at Old Cut and into Rowan. A couple of picts from this AM. sun rise over very tip of Pottohawk.
