Just got set up and landed this tank pike. Lots of little perch so far and piles of pike too

how thick is ice? people running quads/sleds out?

I'm sitting on about 6.5-7". The operators huts are out and machines are on the ice. No parking lots open at St Williams yet. Collins has lots of parking

Excellent! I booked for next week with Woodwards. Break myself into it easy this year before I start hauling my own gear out there.

How is the snow in front of Collins? I want to bring the quad as I lost my plastic fishing sled in our shed fire so walking requires me to leave the gear that makes me comfortable (getting soft in my old age).

Also does anyone know if the farm at the top of cardiac hill is going to open for parking?

How far out in the bay are the perch, Saturday will be my first go around in this area. Looking to park at old cut, I can fish the south side of inner bay. Feel free to message me. Thanks in advance

They just announced they’ll be open tomorrow at the top of the hill in st Williams.

With all of the multiple threads and posts about Ice Fishing I started tossing around the idea of asking my neighbour if he was itching to go out on the ice.

Then I realized my license expired the last day of 2021.

If there is still ice the middle of May I will be licensed again and then I will ask him.

Yea Rick was out there snow blowing up he feild says he’ll be open in the morning, I spent today dropping off huts on the ice most of the day trying to get it done before it gets so busy on the weekend the bay is in decent shape for travel , my hut is a fair size and I had no problems pulling it with chains in my quad

Was out with Bayside today.12 perch 1 keeper .Had a 10lb pike to the hole.Several other pike swim bys.

If you go to service Ontario in simcoe , by the courthouse and renew your license and outdoors card there in person they give you a paper copy and you can fish immediately, no waiting for the mail
