There is now a boating ban in effect on the Thames River starting today,so I took a drive after picking up a coffee,to see how flooded the thames river really was.Not that I was planning on fishing for walleye’s out of a boat on the Thames River, but I am planning on walleye fishing it again off a riverbank, before the walleye season closes after Monday,March 15,2021 in Zone 16,east of the Kiel Bridge in Chatham. Here is a photo of what the level of the thames river normally looks like at this spot, and here is a photo of the same spot in todays flooded condition. Some other photo’s of some flooded area’s,including a view from the Komoka Bridge looking upriver, and this photo from the Komoka Bridge looking downriver. Some more photo’s further downriver from the Komoka Bridge. On a more negative note,I couldn’t believe what I saw on the North-West part of the Komoka Bridge!! Someone actually dumped their garbage there!! What a Dreadful site!! Bring your garbage please to a place where it belongs!! Be Safe & Walleye’s ON!! to All!! during the last 3 days,(starting tomorrow),during the walleye season in Zone 16.
