Fishing Report PORT DOVER PERCH DERBY UPDATE

I bought my tag at 10:30a.m.
No tagged perch caught as of this time today.
No one catching anything on pier today, still muddy.
Didn't see any minnows on channel or north side of pier.

Saw a few tiny perch caught off the pier Saturday
I only had 1 catfish caught Saturday and Sunday weather sure have not help matters

The tagged perch are released in the river. They seem to stay in the river. People fish from the pier to the SilverLake dam.

3 of these were caught within 15 minutes this 31" and our other buddy on the west pier a 39"
3 rd. didn't get the picture because he threw it back before taking, it was the same size
But no Perch.

Nice pike first i heard of any bein caught in the area

Last years derby I got 2 in same spot of first pic. Apparently it's a decent spot

Beautiful looking pike’s @Fish Farmer ??and this might explain why the perch might not be around the pier,with these predator fish swimming around in that area!! Tight lines & hopefully perch on for you and your friends,once you catch all the pike’s first!! lol ???

I Went out at noon hr it was quite by the lift bridge.

No tags as of 4pm today. I saw 5 cats caught. 10am to 4pm and only one bite.
Minnows from erie bait new location ?

All day we caught 2 small cats and 2 Rock Bass west pier
Was a nice day to watch the tip of the rod for 10 hours.
Good job Tim's is just a few steps away

We were almost half way out on the west pier yesterday.
The other day we fished on the floating dock near the museum.
