Port Burwell, Saturday and Sunday

Well it's on out of Port Burwell. We pulled a 3 man limit on Saturday for my first 2023 charter. Took the Mrs on Sunday stopped at 7 nice fish. Lots of sorting smalls. If they were not going to survive they were kept. Probably put 20 back for the 18 we kept. Small spoons and big worked equally as well 2.2 to 2.6 in less than 40 ft of water 5 color lead and dipsys at 60.

It was the same for Port Bruce, all fish around 35-38 fow. Someone at the marina told me that these are resident fish and that the big migrating schools are still far out in the main part of the lake. I find that theory hard to believe

We saw a fishing tug pull nets out think they were spread across the 40-50fow once they got that up they headed out never saw where they ended up but I think way way way out there

A fantastic way to start your 2023 charter business @tailfeathers !! Good to know as well that spoon size doesn’t seem to matter,and the lead core and the dipsys are working again as well. Tight lines to you @tailfeathers and to your wife plus clients,etc., to the rest of your 2023 Lake Erie charter fishing season.
