Port Bruce

Thinking of launching from Port Bruce. Is it as busy as Burwell? How about bait? Thanks ahead of time.

there are a couple of places to buy bait , Rush Creek Line Bait and Tackle 519-773-3007,don't remeber the name of the other place but it is on the main road to the beach just past the bridge on the right hand side ,just watch for the bait sign in the driveway ,Havn;t fished either place yet this year but from all reports they are starting to bite ,just look for other boats ,and that will be a good place to start ,have fun

Don't even think of going there. Launch at North Erie Marina and buy your bait right there at dockside. At 5 bucks a scoop you can't go wrong and Greg is quick to give the dope on where they're biting as well as helping with the boat in the launch.

How far of a run is it, on average, to the perching grounds?

Its a longer run down the creek them to the perching grounds usually. I was out on sunday it was extremely slow but last week was killer. Alot of people seem to be fishing the mud line
