Fishing Report Perchin Oct 7

[Extra Virgin]

Picked up two scoops of very large shiners from Lake Erie Bait & Tackle and fished the north shore of the inner bay in 7-8fow. Kept 20 but could have easily limited out on 8-9"ers within an hour or two.

It was a bit windy but doable. I actually prefer this time of year and weather as the only neighbors I had park next to me and ask "how's the fishing" were gulls

Right ON!! @Dmanwithnoname but hopefully not for awhile yet,so that we can still enjoy some more open water fishing out of our boat’s,weather conditions permitting.

Yes @Extra Virgin nasty weather is the best,to a “safe” point of course,because the fishing can be at its finest!! Another fantastic perch report from you,with a video this time,and also excellent photo’s,just like your other perch report before this one with your son. Doable lol? I would be sick in that wave. Glad you got some perch!

Good question @walleyeman for I don’t see a bow line anchored into that strong wind,so I am guessing that @Extra Virgin is using a different method perhaps to hold his boat in position somehow else,for it doesn’t look like that he is drifting,because I would think that his boat would be going sideways in that strong wind. Maybe @Extra Virgin will let us know.

I was anchored. I run my anchor line through the eye in my bow and tie off to a side cleat to keep the nose into the wind. I very rarely drift as I dropshot right off the bottom to keep my rig vertical
