Fishing Report Perch - Normandale - Saturday, July 16th

[Duck Soup]

58 perch in 3 hours, 3 anglers, fishing Normandale in 18 fow. Keeper perch mostly 8 to 10" with one jumbo that was one sixteenth under 14" Sunny and very warm with calm winds this morning and water temp 72.6 degrees. Most fish were caught on a rig with an attractor and a shiner minnow on a singe hook, second was casting a spinner bait sweetened with a shiner and third was a two hook drop-shot rig and shiner minnows.

Nice haul of yellow bellies! I did pick two scoops yesterday with the intention of hitting up Bluffs or Normandale after trolling for eyes, but headed straight home afterwards

@Extra Virgin After yesterdays haul - you'll have a hard time still fishing for perch. At least that was my experience.

I am and perhaps others as well,are looking forward to seeing some Steelhead photo’s @Dmanwithnoname this year from your centre pin,and good luck & tight lines & Steelhead’s ON!! Yes,
I still use a spinning reel,photo,(which is a rarity),to catch my,”river run” steelhead’s.

Yes, I recognized that float @Extra Virgin that I found there,(which was @Dmanwithnoname float),from a previous trip that he lost there,while I was fishing with @Extra Virgin That’s a beautiful looking trout @Dmanwithnoname and congratulations and tight lines & trout ON!! on your future trout floating trip’s!!
