Just got bak from St. Williams & seen @ least 10 people out fishing about 150 yards east of Woodwards! All comercial huts are officially on land & stored for another season ???

I am curious to know how much ice is out there. I believe most of it blew out, so were these guys fishing on what was left of the old sheet of ice? It would be great to have one more kick at it this year.

I would caution anybody trying to go out of the old cut. The Bay was wide open, Up to Tuesday. Any ice that has formed is now snow covered. Play it safe.

My ice fishing tackle is still on standby,and by your report/update,it looks like that the old cut is definitely finish for this year.I will likely go ice fishing on some inland ponds instead now for some sunfish & crappie.???

I agree I’d be following the commercial outfitters lead I’m done with the ice this year, I wouldn’t want to endanger any emergency rescuers after the last incident when someone made a bad decision to be out when high winds blown through the bay.
I was lucky enough to rescue my self the Friday before with much better out door weather conditions. ?

Channels r still an option & wouldn’t personally venture out on bay but yes,I’ve gone for a winter swim & wouldn’t recommend it ???

That is definitely a crappie photo taken by you @Extra Virgin -lol Likely on Wednesday morning for me @Extra Virgin to fish on the bay of empty,(lol),but first I need to check out the thames river for walleye’s.I will keep in touch. ????
