Lake St Clair muskey adventure...

Never actually landed a Muskey... until yesterday! I’ve always wanted to try ST Clair but had no idea where to start. So, we booked a charter. 6 of us headed down Sunday and we’re on the water fishing by 8am. An off shore wind had chewed up the weed beds and scattered them all over the lake. Trolling was impossible. Our Captain made some phone calls and we headed west another 4 miles to some weed free and unfortunately fish free waters! After a solid hour of trolling we finally found some baitfish and the fun began. Had a great time and all fish were carefully revived and released for another day.

Awesome job !! I'm still trying to get my son connected with his first. Can you tell my the charter name so I can research ?? PM would be ok.

Drifter 2 charters...
Awesome guy, very professional and made sure the fish were well taken care of for the short time we had them on the boat

General area? FOW?

That won't help you much. The trolling bite on st Clair doesn't centre around any specific structure or depth for the most part. You need to find bait and proper water colour to be successful. This changes daily. Soon however, there will be a migration of baitfish towards the incoming rivermouths that Musky will follow. Temps need to start dropping a little more tho before that will happen in a big way.
