We walked out by old cut the first spot had 10" of ice an 2nd spot had 8 inches about half km from the first spot
 
was out yesterday with the quads most holes we drilled had 6-7 inches did come find a spot where our quads were on 6 inches walked about 50 yards punching holes and we found 2-3 inches , we seen quad tracks crossing that section as well , be cautious out there still never know where the springs are, never hurts to get off the bike and punch a hole once and awhile or back some ice with a spud (y)

went out of Old Cut yesterday with PuddleJumper and another buddy and walked towards EC 10. fished on east side of Jimmy Riggins shacks about same distance away from shacks as shacks were from shore. there is a big ice break out there and we were 200' or so from it in about 7" of ice everywhere we drilled. Interesting water current. blowing into bay hard for first few hours and then out to lake until mid aft when it slowed...had to run 1/2 oz bell sinkers to keep anything on bottom near hole. decent day with lots of little ones, 15 or so keeper perch and landed one nice pike with 1 good pike lost at hole and another break off.....fun day all in all with some good pals
