After having read numerous posts - and I know it has been mentioned time and time again - but I am going to say it once more:

I.D. your GEAR!

Name & Phone Number.

Engraved, Black Sharpie, Engraved tag attached - whatever tickles your fancy. Gettng lost gear back is a crap shoot - getting lost gear back with NO I.D. damn near impossible.

Running a boat with all the gear is expensive enough without adding to the cost by throwing gear away with no I.D. Most of us are an honest lot and would gladly reach out to the name and number on the planer board that we haul in.
