Been doing some house cleaning and came across a few wooden ducks I got years ago. I'm curious on the value, if any for these two if I were to choose to part with them.
You are certainly correct about this. I was going to suggest maybe $25, but you might find someone willing to pay more if they like them. Those look like they would fall under the Folk Art category as opposed to Working decoys or Competition decoys. Not to insult you but I would ask 50 bucks and take whatever was offered due to the category that they are in. Old Working dekes or Competition decoys can fetch very high prices depending on who or when they were carved.
Joe would be good source for an opinion. That might work.Hello Grouse Guy,
Wait a minute ... hold everything ... ask Joe Kish (a well known decoy carver in this area) about them. Failing that ... why not just ask for the best offer when you decide to part with them ... would not hurt.
