Another season come and gone for some inland streams and I kept my promise to fish no matter what.

Out the door around 6:30, still dark, lots of traffic on the road filled with people going to WORK while I'n going FISHING:D Slowly hurried my way to location #1, by now its daylight and light rain is falling. Slip/slide my way into position and flip a dewie thru a little pocket, tap tap tap somebody home. Try as I could couldnt hook the little guy. Wander down further, more slipping/sliding, still raining HAH. I'm standing in front of a real sweet run and again flip a dewie to drift thru it----get a solid hit and rolled a little brown. Kept at it but it wouldnt hit again but still came up with small bow 6" (bleeder).

Left there and started cruising around--stopped at a few other places, talked to a couple people fishing--same story--nothing happening. (Still raining).

Seeing as I was in the area popped into Dover for a Timmies and set out once more for my final location. (Stiil raining) Halfway there road is bone dry and the sun came out:)

Finally get to my go:) a little stream that has been known to cough up the occasional brookie/brown. First pool I try produces a little brown(bleeder) then a little bow. Something there was surface feeding, looked like it may have been a little bigger.

Moved on down stream a bit to try pool #2, again flip a dewie into it, somebody home here too. First up(brace yourself) a good 12"------ready for this-----black sucker[:I]. Back it goes--try again----next up------creek minnow----back it goes. Again------another-----wait for it-----black sucker. WTH are these doing in here??? Try once more, out comes a creek chub/dace.

I can take a hint, once more slowly hurried my way back to the van.

It was a beautiful day to end the inland stream portion of the season, enjoyed the fall colours of the woods in the area. Nothing to brag/complain about, just a good day to do what gets me up in the morning.

Thanks for reading.

Nice read.

I was up in Pt Loring for the week fishing for gators, hawgs, and wallys. Got them all including one 12lb pike on a worm harness with 6lb test line - what a fight in the canoe!

I was hoping to get to more of the streams before they closed but didn't.

I'll be focusing on some of the chrome water now as I have weekdays & weekends off this year ;)
