Yup, lots of good steelhead fishing to be had on the Grand once the season opens up.
For gear you can go with either a centrepin reel or baitcaster. Lots of rod options from 10'6" - 15'.....I'd recommend something with some power as the Grand is big water and holds some big steelies. Depending on the stretch your fishing either roe bags or artificial such as plastic beads, marabou jigs or rubber "trout worms" will catch you fish.
A big part of float fishing is presentation, steelies aren't picky eaters, present a bait in front of them properly and you have a good chance of hooking up.
