The boat is a Solar 470 Super Jet from Siberia with a 40hp Yammie I converted to jet drive. I built the aluminum rowing frame myself and added the front frame piece to mount the trolling motor and anchor winch. The floor is inflatable but incredibly solid @5psi.....very durable and comfortable to stand on.
This boat continues to excite me with the possibilities it opens up....

The maker is Dan Grochowicz in Chilliwack. His creations are fittingly called DG reels. He only does small runs and the quality is very impressive, particularly his Bushing reels. I've managed to get my hands on several and have been nothing but impressed. The list for a new one is getting VERY long tho! 
Yup! I've owned literally hundreds of centerpins at this point tho I've managed to whittle my current collection down to around 50-60 and I've always said if I could keep only one it'd be my early run black Islander Steelheader. I did have a couple Stantons before it but that old Islander has see more fish than any reel I own.
Eploring new water has taken priority over putting fish in the boat and fishing success has been limited. Seeing new water has been a blast! Even managed to harvest a meal last outing, tho it didn't require a fillet knife...
