Fishing Report Burwell Fri 23rd afternoon.

2 fishers, 4 lines set up 48' where directed by friends. 1 walleye 1.5 hrs later lots of baaaad fish. Picked up, boot out to 61'( 10.5 miles from port), few hours later 12 n 3 in the cooler, called it a day. 6-7 lead with purple spoons still the ticket for us.

Nice!! @maytagman I tried for those higher walleye’s last friday,july 23/21,but most of them had a bad case of “lockjaw!!” I experimented with a lot of different lure’s & depth with my 7 colour lead core rod for them,but I still had no luck!! I noticed a few walleye’s quite deep,and @Wave Runner on his last trip out,posted that he and his fishing partner,Darren caught most of their fish deep. I had to readjust,and therefore,out came my 10 colour lead core rod,and I eventually caught 3 walleye’s and I lost a couple of walleye’s as well while I was fishing in 67 feet of water.Ripplin redfin’s in various colour’s worked the best. Dipsey diver’s would of worked as well,(most angler’s were using a dipsey setup that day),but I forgot to bring those last friday along with my downrigger!! Next time!! I caught a,”baaah head” as well, (27 inches long!! ),and what a fight!! Enjoy your walleye fry & tight lines & Fish ON!!
