Bay of Quinte

I am heading up this way mid January and I am able to get out for a day on the ice (if safe).
I have never fished Quinte and no ideas where to go.
I have been looking on forums and everything and it isn't much help.
If anyone could share some past experiences of tips on where to go that would be great.
Thanks, anything would be helpful.

The ice down there is very inconsistent. Huffs is usually some of the first good ice and is pretty popular. Potter's is the next popular spot that'll provide safe ice, but again its a community hotspot.

Exploring on your own will pay off bigtime. IF you careful and preferably have reliable transportation on the ice.

I'd watch the Quinte msg board for a week or two in advance and get an idea what's happening
