There is now a boating ban in effect on the Thames River starting today,so I took a drive after picking up a coffee,D16F2976-71C5-4227-A72A-6E91543097FF.jpegto see how flooded the thames river really was.Not that I was planning on fishing for walleye’s out of a boat on the Thames River, but I am planning on walleye fishing it again off a riverbank, before the walleye season closes after Monday,March 15,2021 in Zone 16,east of the Kiel Bridge in Chatham. Here is a photo of what the level of the thames river normally looks like at this spot,159F72FB-DD8E-470A-BE0F-ABEE50805387.jpeg and here is a photo of the same spot in todays flooded condition.19CF8919-A316-4D6C-B5A4-C3B4C83C203B.jpeg Some other photo’s of some flooded area’s,including a view from the Komoka Bridge looking upriver,9525FF4B-719A-4561-B041-FB6218074BE8.jpeg and this photo from the Komoka Bridge looking downriver.6F28527B-FCBF-4290-BEB4-55C4B7C05447.jpeg Some more photo’s further downriver from the Komoka Bridge.66B3315A-8391-499A-851B-75F70237A4B2.jpeg 4E13A92F-924C-4DEE-A6D6-E991472F4746.jpeg6E6DED82-7C82-4427-9376-0E5B42072560.jpeg On a more negative note,I couldn’t believe what I saw on the North-West part of the Komoka Bridge!! Someone actually dumped their garbage there!! 6056F67F-C363-4E73-A3AE-FDAF84A480B0.jpeg What a Dreadful site!! 😱👎😠 Bring your garbage please to a place where it belongs!! Be Safe & Walleye’s ON!! to All!! during the last 3 days,(starting tomorrow),during the walleye season in Zone 16. 🎣🐟👍😎

Hope that goes down over the weekend.
@jjr this morning,(Saturday,March 13/21),I enjoyed my coffee there again.9A5BDF40-FEFD-4A98-B861-FD29BAF06B82.jpeg Coffee always seems to taste better outdoors!! lol 🤣☕👍😎 and as expected, the thames river is dropping down quite nicely. Here is a photo of the waterline on a tree from yesterday,(starting to drop down a bit then),4DBDD27E-40F8-41F9-9780-F5751006C5E3.jpeg and the same tree from this morning.Quite a difference there on the waterline!! 35B9036A-14BC-45B4-AC0E-C901C608602D.jpeg There is still quite a bit of debris floating down the river,53127CCA-AA51-45CD-962C-D9D92CD83D50.jpeg 8CD2C0C4-C114-4A3D-B1C5-674331B53E91.jpeg but here’s hoping that things will clear up a bit on the river,to be able to enjoy the last few day’s left of the walleye season,& tight lines to All!! 🎣🐟👍😎

Great updates @Red Hering i was wondering what the river was looking like

Thanks for posting Thames water levels Red Herring . P.S. ... I thought you would be sporting Roll up the rim coffee. LOL Actually McDonalds coffee is just as good. Safe safe out there. Huron.

I am going to head out on the Thames tomorrow no matter what -- last day, should be sunny. Then I might try the odd shoreline cast but likely not much until my boat goes into Port Dover in May.

Thanks @Huron & I only buy Tim Hortons coffee when they do have the “Roll up the Rim.” I occasionally need a “donut fix” if I win!! lol 🤣 I am resting my casting arm for today,so that I am able to fish a half a dozen or so walleye spot’s that I know of tomorrow,on the last day of the Zone 16 walleye season.I will post some photo’s tomorrow of some walleye’s that I will hopefully catch. 🎣🐟😉👍🙂

Just did a drive-by of that whole area too, Red Fish, with hopes for tomorrow. Very few fishing, river still high and dirty. Maybe tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic.
