Around here, the lakeshore of Haldimand we call them Bush Wolves/ Last winter a few would venture out onto the ice and sun themselves for hours. These things are large, close to 100 lbs if not more. A pal has an 80 acre farm down the road and has domesticated one he found nearly dead as a pup. I use the word domesticated lightly. This is not your go fetch the paper Lassie. You do not get out of the car until the owner meets you, including me that has known the thing for years. I won't call it a dog because it's not. Sharp as razor he is.
