Great Weekend on Lake O...Fishing Friday Evening and Sunday Morning. Went out with Buckster on Friday, it was a little slower, but can be expected after that storm on Thursday. Ended up going 2 for 3, one chunky laker and my biggest Chinook to date...16lbs and 35" long
Sunday was on fire. Took my buddy out for his first down-rigging trip ever and the fish did not disappoint! It took me about 30mins to figure out what depth the fish were at and spoon color was gonna work, and from then on it was steady action all morning! Went 6-12 boating 5 Chinooks and 1 laker. We lost 4 at the boat due to netting issues and and lines getting crossed, but that can be expected with a newbie on board lol. The chinny were really showing off their jumping skills with silver breaking the surface on almost every fish! Needless to say, my buddy is hooked on salmon fishing now!
