Albert, Canvasback and I tried Burwell for Walleye yesterday morning. We headed SE to 58 feet and trolled to 60 fow.......nothing and no fish on the screen. Not seeing anyone out further and some folks reporting fish on VHF we headed back in. At 57 fow we started to see lots of fish. A boat matching a name we passed was reporting 10 walleye. We caught 4 before quitting. Two on the riggers down 35 feet and two on the lead core 8 colours with Rippling Redfins.

We headed the other way Arnie. Fished S-W in 58-60 fow. Took 8 eyes, most on leadcore but a couple on riggers and dipsies as well. Body baits (redfins) produced well but darker coloured spoons also took fish. Not fast and furious action but it was nice to get out for only our second trip this season. DA got his first big water walleye and had a good workout since he was in charge of the leadcore lines...he may never fish with us again! Not sure where all the bows went but we'll go get them another day.

Looks like it was a great day out there DS. Going to give Bluff's a shot tomorrow. Wish us luck!
