Thanks, it was a nice bird 25lbs, 11” beard and 1.5” spurs, watching the kid call him in and drop him on the spot at 15 yards was pretty cool.

Didn’t take long for another Tom to move in, my turn now!

Some have posted great pictures of full back and fan mounts of their spring Toms. I have a couple of those as well but I have been hunting these magnificent birds since the late '90's and only can test my wall space and wife's tolerance so far. Yet I do like to keep something to remember each bird. I did not invent this I picked it up from a friend. I call them my Turkey Trinkets. I use to attach my clipped tag when they were more durable. Now I use a little leather tag and mark it with weight and date. On the back I put the location where shot. I have them hung on a rafter in my workshop. If I take one down and look at it I can remember every bird.

I have most of my birds spurs on a leather string for a necklace.
