trolling speed

When trolling do most troll using nm/hr or statute/mph? And what is an optimum speed? I have been told between 2.7 and 3.4.

that would be mph and most use the gps as there speed guide and the speed carries if u r using worm harnesses I find 1.8 to 2.2 and 3 to 5 " spoons 2.6 and up to 3.4 to work and the same for ripplin red fins ect. hope this helps

unless you are muskie fishing, than you need to go faster. 3.8 - 4.5 mph. till late in the fall when you might want to slow it up a bit more.
