Rondeau Bay

Took the kids to Rondeau Bay for the weekend. Launched and camped out of The Summer Place. Amazing launch and campground. Caught this second pic right outta the channel where we set up. My boy had a blast hammering sun fish while we set up. My husband caught a couple nice bass and a pike off the shore in the bay. Winds were not great for most of the trip but we made it work. Holy weeds is all I can say about rondeau!

How was the water? Forgiving enough for smaller boats? Terkey point picks up a bit to quick for my 14'er

yep you made it work....you have lots of boat there to fish lake Erie...just learn to pick the light wind days...LSC is a friendly lake option too, when Erie is too rough

We did try that. Kids threw in pickerel rigs and I tired casting an erie dearie. No luck. Pretty windy. We heard good things about that spot though. And when the bay was windy - just out of it was beauty.

Our boat was ok out in the bay and winds were 25km gusting to 34 out of the south west. It got a little choppy but lots of smaller boats tucked in close to the inner bay.
