Had an unbelievable catch this am so decided to keep one. Turms out it was a female unfortunately. I rarely use roe anymore . I remember someone asking awhile ago about roe. If someone wants the roe it is theirs. I live in port dover,can meet tomorrow first thing in am. E-mail me and we can set up time and place-like Tim Hortons.

Don't feel to bad for taking the odd female. Its a huge misconception with steel anglers about what gender to keep- to protect future generations..its a 10:1 ratio female to male steel...Im not saying take big mama home!!! I don't keep rainbows in general or use roe under the float. Artificials work just as good or better I find.

I may keep at most one in thirty myself and use roe infrequently as I find other baits/lures quite successful.In one spot I'm up 3 to 0 over guys using roe beside me.
Haven't fished in creeks /rivers much down this way but looking forward to it.
