Fishing Report Port Maitland July 30

Fished Maitland just west of the fingers in 65-70 fow from 0600-1130. Finished 5-7, 2 nice ones 23" and 25" inch, and 3 smaller at 16-17". First fish came at 0700 off the rigger right over bottom with gold ripplin redfin. All other fish and bites came on chartreuse or green worm harnesses and dipsys back 120-150 on 3 setting. Bites on and off all morning, bite seemed better going with the waves than against them. Picked up 2 in the last 15 minutes. Glad the wind held out it, we have a small boat and it was a great morning on the water. Washed a few spoons, body baits, and harnesses off the riggers with short and long leads but they seemed to like the dipsys. Judging from the pack of boats we were the closest in but we did just fine. One boat we spoke to at the launch struck out but they didn't use harnesses.
