Shallow water produced again for us this year for the big fish. Number wise it was slow with us going 16-20. The 4 fish we lost all would have helped our overall weight. We weighed 3 fish for 20.75lbs with our big fish being 7.45lbs. The weights were down this year with 20.75 being good for first place and 7.45 held up for big fish. Big fish came running slow with worm harnesses and body baits.

Just curious..what did those teams do to get disqualified??..and congratulations on your win 👍🎣

Reeled in fish with clickers on…
I am not sure they were disqualified, I think that they just didn't weigh the fish as they knew that they were not close to a decent weight. we were one of the ones that did that. our biggest was just over 4 lbs and the rest were at about 3 giving a total of 10 Lbs not really worth wasting the time at the weigh in

other than going to the Marina in person... where else was the information about the derby posted?

On Facebook under Pt Burwell Pickerel Tournament and under the Big Otter Marina Facebook page, I am not sure if it was advertised anywhere else.

We had a great day yesterday for the tournament. Ended up with 50 teams fishing this year!!
Biggest Rainbow prize was $500 sponsored by Big Otter Marina. This went to team Tiki Bar with a 10.65lb rainbow
Biggest walleye was $500 as well -7.47lbs. This and 1st place (20.75lbs) was won by Team 69. Brody, Cadin, Kyle and Noah.
We would like to thank our volunteers, sponsors and anglers because without everyone we could not run this tournament.
