Three of us had planned to chase some pike this morning but only Albert and I made it. We started fishing the east end of the Inner Bay and didn't get a sniff for the first hour. We moved west trying different spots along the north channel and had a few chances but still nothing. The last hour we just let the boat drift WNW and bingo we landed 6 and probably lost as many. We also switched to smaller lures and fishing water that was approximately the same range of depths but 2-3 degrees warmer. The weather was great.....warm, mostly sunny with light winds. Water temp was 57 to 62 F. We kept a few to eat. Spring pike are one of my favorites.
