Fishing Report Pike - Bluff Bar - Saturday, Apr. 16th

[Duck Soup]

Canvasback and I opened the 2016 Long Point Bay Season with a trip to Bluff Bar. Albert was unable to participate today. It was a spectacular day for weather but not much for active pike at the Bar. We ended up with only 2 between 4 & 5 pounds and fished hard for about 3 hours. John also caught a 5 pound SM Bass pictured below. My jigs didn't catch a fish and John ended up with all three using a 5" swim bait. He's been trying to perfect his swim bait technique for a couple of years now.
