Last week on our annual father-son trip, my 12-year-old boated this Northern. In 40+ years of fishing, I can now say that my son has outdone his old man. With him in the picture is Chad Thompson, owner of Pasha Lake Cabins in Jellicoe. Chad helped to get this brute in the boat. We didn't weigh it for fear of hurting the fish, but it measured 42 1/2" and certainly would have tipped the scale at over 20 lbs. After a quick photo or 2 and measurement, this bad boy was revived, and we waved goodbye to it as it swam off to fight another day.
We had a great trip! Lots of pike and too many walleye to count. I'll be glad to give any info if anyone is thinking of travelling to the Thunder Bay / Geraldton area; just message me.
