Perchin' Tomorrow

Gonna head out of Burwell tomorrow and see what's around for perch. Wind looks good for a run at this point. Will post up results. They should be out there somewhere.

The good news is Bradfields launch was open today and he had lots of minnows $5 for a good scoop. The launch is muddy once you get off the pad, not sure if its ready for big boats yet. River was fine and the dredge was working out at the mouth when we came in at 6pm.
Went all the way east to Clear Creek and Hastings and hit some waypoints from 50ft to 30ft. Either they weren't there or not on the feed. Caught maybe 1/2 dozen. Marked a ton of bait fish in shallow, not sure if smelt or shiners but no hungry perch. Headed back west and fished some waypoints off of the silver barn with no action. Mud out along way.
Did see a commercial boat working in real shallow between the barn and the Sandbanks. Not sure if they use seine nets but he was circling around in shallow for a couple of hours over a couple of miles of shore and wouldn't think he was setting gill nets. Was too muddy in shallow for us to fish but there might have been perch in close if that's were the bait was.
We ended up trying one last spot at 2:30 in 40' west of the barn and either we found them or the bite turned on. Was good action until we had 2 limits around 5:30. A lot of good sized males and some big females.
The wind switched a couple of times during the day and died right off around 3:30.
Will post some pics tomorrow.
