Found a few bags of perch in the freezer today. Itching to get the Lund out for some fresh fish (y)

First batch looked poisoness so I figured I better make sure it's safe!IMG_20180407_1850413.jpgIMG_20180407_1850479.jpgIMG_20180407_1852393.jpg15231419443301733098650.jpg1523142193409687650287.jpg

I have that exact deep fryer, and it drives me nuts because the circuit breaker (safety switch) on the back of it goes off all the time while I am cooking with it. Now I just do it on the stove top in a cast iron pan.
Looks very yummy!

I haven't had that issue with mine. I found if the element isn't nested properly onto the base it can give some intermittent issues.

Mr.s EV eats the catch, but won't let me Cook it indoors. She actually walked out to the garage two seconds after I took that photo with the perch, said oh is that for me? Snapped it out of my hand & went back into the house...... Looks like I need to invest in some sort of early warning system for the man cave!

I read this and went through my freezer and found, 3 bags from last year I thought I had already eaten. They got buried under the steaks, pork chops and turkey. My wife won't eat fish, (which is just oh so terrible, just means all that much more for me :p) so I'm thinking I might have fish and chips for supper tonight. But before I go out and catch more this year, I have to replace my vacuum sealer :(.

Hi Trevor what's up with your vacuum sealer? Is there a place to get it serviced in Ont? I was looking on YouTube about loss of suction there are some good videos on how to fix it.Check it out .

Hi TCAT. Been a while. It's 6 years old and well used. The suction still works, it's the sealing element that isn't working. It doesn't heat up anymore. I was considering replacing it last year before it stopped working anyways just because of how much I've used it and how old it is, so this gives me a justifiable reason to spend the money to get a new one. It worked right up to the last day I went out in September last year. I only had one bag that couldn't be sealed when it quit, so I can't complain, I just had to eat it sooner than intended, instead of freezing it.

Just one of many many many items this forum has inspired/encouraged/manipulated me into buying. ;):D

Three bags up from the freezer for tomorrow's supper. The dark side wins again.... :)
