Looking to plan a family trip next summer for a week with the in-laws who have a 40' class A motorhome, and am looking for recommendations for a campground or Provincial Park on Erie that could accommodate a motorhome of that size. There will be 7 of us total. Looking for good fishing with close access to a boat launch, beach access, and other kid-friendly amenities. Was thinking Rondeau PP would be a good option (what's the launch there like - I have a 18' aluminum princecraft super pro?). Looks like there are a few decent private options near Port Glasgow as well. Thanks in advance for any help!

There are a few parks near or at Port Glasgow and the marina has 3 ramps.$15 a launch

Woodland park in St Williams is another option. They have several nice pull-thru sites. Camped there many times. Sandhills is good too, camped there a bunch as well.

It depends on what you want to fish for, Burwell has a great beach (drive to) dog friendly as well, easy access to boat launches 5 min away, great walleye and perch grounds take the boat to the beach no prob for kids to tube etc. Rondeau has free launch inside park on inner bay, fish inner bay for bass pike, pan fish, or head out to the lake for trolling for eyes (8 to 12 miles from launch), nice beach, small not very private sites. Turkey point easy access to inner bay, short boat trip to the beach, slightly longer ride to walleye great campsites great biking trails (drive to beach though).Long point great beach you would be limited to the field electrical sites with that size motor home and they are not very private, and fishing access to inner bay or long ride to walleye, extremely long boat ride to the beach. We camp 50 nights a year and bring our boat on most trips. Our kids like Turkey Point the best mainly for the bike trails and the size of the sites (8 and 10 yo) with Burwell being a close second when the eyes are in nearby. The fact you can have boat days at the beach with tubing and skiing makes them our top family friendly choices for both fishing and entertaining the kids.

Stayed in Erieau a few years ago - great fishing, spacious park for trailers and or motorhomes. Park like setting - not so much - but for boating and fishing with good location for RVs - was great.

If your considering long point book early , that probably applies to all provincial parks , but I know long point fills up fast

Can't go wrong with Rondeau Park. Lake or Bay for swimming depending on winds. Great for kids. 30 minutes east to Port Glasgow, 1/2 hour around to Erieau and into Lake Erie. Once in Park free launch into Rondeau Bay. 20 minutes to groceries ( and beer store) in Blenheim. Store at park entrance has a great selection as well.
Rv'd there three times this summer.
