Tried out in with the pack of boats scattered from EC 6-EC8 for an hour.....nadda.
Decided to start my fall fishing spots out in front of St. Williams.....I was the only boat out there.
6-7' fow, 63 F, constant bite. Kept one for every 5 fish caught. Ended up with 10 keepers.....ran out of minnows.
All 10"+.....one 13". Just shy of 2 lbs. of fillets. The inner bay north shore is where they're coming.
With the water temps as low as they are (haven't seen them in the low 60s in first week of September in 15 years....), the perch are starting to feed in the shallows already. That being said, sounds like they're still lots out off Normandale too.
The winds finally cooperated this weekend. Hope it continues next weekend.
The Old Cut Livery still has lots of minnows.
Cheers!
