No fruit this year ?

Compared to last year I have very little fruit on my trees and even the wild grape is in poor shape. Too much rain this Spring ? I guess last years bumper crop and mild Winter paid off for the wildlife as I've seen lots of Fawns, young Turkeys and bunnies so far this year.

Last year was a bumper crop of everything. Still my darn crabapple produces lol. At least it’s some free early season deer feed!

My grape vine is barren this year as well

Too wet and hot at all the wrong times
The heat ruined the tail end of the June bearing strawberry season as well 😢

have a few crabapple trees around the building----one in particular is usually loaded but not this year----NADA same for the rest and look like their dying off as well

Too much rain in the Spring ruined the pollination process then came the heat which stresses the trees. If this is what we are in for with climate change we could be in big trouble.

Some years it’s too wet some years it’s too dry. Some years it’s to cold some years it’s too hot… some years it’s just right… there is no steady direction the climate is “changing” towards

I've only been around for a speck of time (67 years) but there is some kind of change going on. LoL !
Would think if there was major change happening after 67 years you could pin point it. If not you than the people who have been on the planet even longer than you..
or the historical data that has been kept for even longer.

Maybe just me but I've noticed an overall trend to longer hotter Summers and Spring seems to be a two week affair. Thunderstorms seem more severe when they happen and long soft rainfalls not as common. Oh sure Mother Nature will always throw a curveball at us to keep us guessing... wtf next ? Maybe she's mad at us for pooping the bed and peeing in the pool(s) ?

definitely pissed off that we are pissin in the pools and shitting on the streets hahaha
I'm not disagreeing that our shoulder seasons some years are no existent.. do you recall the winter of 2013 dumped tons of snow on us in St. Thomas everyday until spring ... haven't had that ever in my life only that year

Well I hope Mother Nature gives us a nice Fall because once again she sent Cabbage Moths to devour my Brussel Sprouts, ate every leaf off them but like last year they started to grow again and I still may see a crop yet as the moths have disappeared probably due to their life cycle. Lost 25 percent of my tater crop due to super wet Spring and like I said my orchard has next to nothing. I might invest in a bag or two of deer feed to compliment the old salt stumps ?
