OK then what if your out shore fishing on a river maybe a mile from your car and you don't have a cooler with ice with you while out fishing? Best alternative?

When I used to do a lot of stream hunting for specks I would carry a canvas satchel...kinda an early man-bag I guess. When i was going to keep fish I would soak a small towel in the bag and wrap the fish, and dunk the bottom of the bag in water occasionally. It seemed to keep the fish fresh and cool

Thanks for the video. I could not get the sound to work, but from the video I saw exactly how to cut the walleye to get the best bleed. Thanks

I use a pair of scissors and cut the walleye under the throat .Quick snip then into live well then after 5 minutes or after resetting lines put walleye in cooler of ice.Cleaner fillets and less mess when you finally fillet them.

Net fish
Remove hooks
Slice throat
Drape net over back of boat
Reset lines
Clean fish goes into iced cooler
