Missing this so bad right now

Highlight of the year for me so far is definitely getting a new boat. I knew exactly what we were missing out on, and that’s what made the decision that much easier to make.

we have a pile of photos and great memories that will last a life time.

many thanks to the wonderful people who share information on this forum, there is a wealth of fishing knowledge here that helped put fish in the boat every outing!
Sad to see my fishing season come to an end, but I look forward to next season and maybe some ice fishing this winter if we actually get some ice.

Binge on youtube videos of your favourite type of fishing on your favourite lake from charter captains hoping to learn some tips -- and then watch some more on lakes you wanna fish.... and then

Go buy all sorts of new lures,

and find a really good place to hide them until spring

November -> end of March is the black armband season for trollers.

and this year, we hope that next spring is definitely NOT like this one with closed ramps - boy, did things get bitchy 'round here for a while in May

I see now who Captain's the vessel and who the first mate is! You learn fast my friend. All kidd'n aside, awesome boat Derek and thanks for sharing these photo's which are just the beginning of great moments and memories which yourself and lovely Captain will experience over time...and the sunsets on the water, well, just icing on the cake!
BTW, there is absolutely nothing wrong with sitting in the boat during the winter months with a couple friends (Morgan and Daniels) reminiscing over the past season and making motor sounds...just say'n.

@Derkd9 What are the chances that on July 3rd, in the afternoon you were at Pottahawk beach and decided to go bass fishing after seeing bass? Your boat looks familiar. If that was you, I was the guy floating in the tube fishing with the ultralight rod lol.

That wasn’t me, I didn’t get my boat until July 13th
I’ve seen a few people with the same boat as me tho, think it was Extreme Marines best seller.
I didn’t get it on the water until July 15th in Port Stanley for its first run around
Then went on my first fishing trip solo in longpoint on July 17th, then Glasgow on the 18th with the fiancé and my fishing buddy Richard and then another longpoint trip on the 21st with the crew, and then my first solo walleye trip on the 23rd in Port Stanley. I booked that week off so could get her wet as much as possible!

Hah sounds like our year. We brought home our new boat in May. Great memories, to be continued. I am not giving up though I'd still love to get out again.

Thanks! Yea I don't do the hunting thing. When the boat goes away the ice fishing gear comes out.

If I wasn’t into hunting I would most likely be on the water somewhere whenever possible up until the end of November
