Hello I am thinking on buying some lead core poles . But i was told that a copper line set up may be better because it sinks faster with less line out . I have not heard to many people using a copper line set up . Just wondering witch is the best way to go ? Thanks for the help.

I use copper and wire on ontario....as those fish aren't afraid of the boat...however, erie fish especially eyes...i think appreciate the extra distance that core allows from the boat. If I had four rods out on erie I would run two core, 1 copper or wire w dipsey and then a dipsey w braid and change as needed. Copper also gives off a little 'noise in the water that maybe attracts fish to your spread???....
