Lake simcoe report /Fish cleaning - Simcoe area

Just got back from a weekend up on Lake Simcoe.

The perch fishing was reasonable out of keswick. Caught well over 100 and brought back 40 to 50 fish. Caught a ton of those herring as well (we did not keep these as I beleve there is a 0 limit on them). There were literally hundreads of these silver darts under the ice hut sitting in in 20 FOW.

Solid 8" of ice in cooks bay. We did not venture out to the open lake with the quad and ice hut but guys reported 4" to 6" out there.

Are there any folks that still fillet fish around simcoe / delhi.

Thanks

Stephen

We fillet all our fish right in the hut when the bite is slow. Then there's no fuss no muss later. Huron.
