Launched out of Oakville yesterday afternoon for an afternoon/evening fish. Lake was a little bumpy but we worked our way out to about 90 fow and pointed the bow eastwards and started to get the lines in. Lines in the water around 3pm and first and only fish landed around 3:50pm. We trolled between 90-130 fow and some good marks around 127 but no takers. Figured as the sun was setting we’d start to pick up a few fish. Checked two lines, rigger that had spin doctor fly and the spin doctor and fly gone and reset that rod and then awhile later checked the 200 copper with plug (lyman look a like) and that was gone…not a happy camper at this point. As it was getting darker we worked our way in to 70 fow and we started to mark some good fish and then we watched on the panoptics a fish come flying in and hit the one rigger rod, line pops but nobody home in the end. All in all was a good day back on the big lake since June 30th and big motor now fixed worked like a champ.

Have you noticed if the salmon are coming in closer yet?
