I was lucky to help out on the musky acoustic tagging project with the Belle River Muskies Canada chapter a few years ago. A bunch of us anglers were out catching muskies and bringing them to shore in our holding tanks where the biologists 'put them to sleep' and implanted the tags in their bellies. Once they revived them we took them back out to the lake and released them where we caught them. Very cool project.
