By the way things are looking and the winter forecast being mild; there is a good possibility of another year with not enough ice for ice fishing. I hope I am wrong.

That's ok, even in January if it does get cold enough to create thick enough ice for people to go sit on it and drill a hole in it, ain't no way you'll catch me out there, UH UH. Been there, done that, got really sick, haven't done it since, and won't. I'll just stay in "hibernation" until mid April or early May, and then go out and catch up in the spring, summer and early fall.
