Backed down the ramp to load my boat. When I put the parking brake on the cable broke. Shut my truck of and put it in gear. Truck started inching back. Tried to restart the truck and it wouldn't start. The young fellow working there went and got a truck and chain to pull me out. The whole time I'm slowly sliding backwards as the brakes weren't working well without power. By the time the chain was hook up I had water up in the box of my truck. He pulled me ahead far enough to get my tail pipe out of the water and my truck started. New cable on parking brake before I go out again.
Kudos to the young fellow for a great job.

Yeah he's a nice kid ...my wife & I picked him up hitchhiking last week when we were out for a drive to Port and he had us laughing all the way back to StT. He's always helpful when we launch there,so I figured we'd return the favour.

Hadn't seen a hitchhiker in a few decades !
